Martha J. Davis

      Funeral services for Martha J. Davis, 90, of 436 C. Midland Blvd., Nampa, who died Thursday, May 26, in a Nampa nursing home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Donn Mogford, pastor of the Berean Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Charles E. Higgins, pastor of the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
      Mrs. Davis was born Jan. 3, 1893 at Jackson County, N.C.  Soon after her birth, her family moved to Blairsville, Ga., wehre they lived until she was seven years old.  Then the family moved by train to Colorado where she spent the rest of her youth.  She married Ira Lee Davis in 1911 at Delta, Colo., where they lived for several years before moving to California.  In 1923, they moved to Nampa where they made their home.  She worked for the Department of Law Enforcement for several Years.  Then she spent many hours caring for elderly patients in both private homes and two nursing homes.  She attended the Berean Baptist Church.
      She is survived by two sons, Gilbert W. Davis, Nampa, and Dr. Orville J. Davis, La Mesa, Calif., one daughter, Mrs. David A. (Wanda) Westmark, Nampa; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Warren Lee Davis, Sequim, Sash., and Marvin W. Davis, Burbank, Calif.; and one grandson, James Lee Davis, Colorado Springs, Colo.
