MIDDLETON - Ora
A. Cox, a resident of the Boise Valley for 50 of the 55 years
of his life, died at his home at Meridian Thursday night after
a short illness. Funeral services will be held at the
Baptist church at Middleton Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
Burial will be in the Middleton cemetery.
Mr. Cox had lived at Middleton for 25 years but moved
to Meridian about a year ago. He is survived by his
widow whom he married less than a year ago, a a brother, Earl
Cox of Homedale. His first wife died nearly two years
ago, followed, in about a month, by the death of his daughter.
Two other children had died from diphtheria while attending
the College of Idaho about 15 years ago, their deaths coming
only a day apart.
Mr. Cox is a graduate of the academy of the College of
Idaho with the class of 1900. He lived at Caldwell for a
number of years where he was engaged , with his father, in a
pioneer blacksmith business. He was born November 18,
1878, and moved to Idaho with his family a few years
afterward. |
