Opal Bratcher

     Opal Vivian Bratcher, 70, of Parma, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 1990, at the Nampa hospital.  Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Parma Cemetery under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.  Officiating will be the Rev. John Pickrell of the Homedale-Adrian Presbyterian Churches.
     Mrs. Bratcher was born Sept. 14, 1919, at LeCenter
, Wash., the daughter of Frank L. and Ruth Davis Steinhaus.  She moved with her family to the Ontario area as a young child and attended grades one through eight at Lincoln School.  She attended high school in Ontario.
     She moved to the Parma area in 1947 and married Ray Bratcher June 3, 1955, at Vale, Ore.  After their marriage the couple moved to Hood river, Ore., where they resided for three years before moving back to the Parma area.
     Mrs. Bratcher was well known in the area for her hand-made quilts for which she won many ribbons at local fairs.
