Rubye H. Mackey
Services for Mrs.
Rubye H. Mackey, 67, of Caldwell Route 6, who died Saturday
morning in a local hospital after an extended illness, will be
held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Nampa First Christian Church.
The Rev. Harold N. Nye, assisted by the Rev. Obert, will
officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memoral
Gardens under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Mackey was born June 6, 1892 in Nocona, Texas and
attended schools there. She was married to Edwar Mackey
on June 28, 1914, in Sonoma County, Calif., and the couple
lived there for 13 years. They came to Idaho in 1930
where they located in Nampa, then moved to Colorado, returning
to live in Caldwell after Mr. Mackey's retirement from the
Postal Service in 1948. They had lived here since that
time. She was a member of the Nampa First Christian
Survivors, in addition to her husband Edward Mackey of
Caldwell, include one son, Howard Mackey, San Fernando,
Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Colley, Independence,
Ore., Mrs. Evelyn Brown, Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Lucille
Jackson, Weiser; three sisters. Mrs. Alma Lacey, Bowmont,
Calif., Mrs. Mercy O'Brian and Mrs. Lella Deemas, both of
California, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
