Raymond 'Ray' Black

     Raymond J. "Ray" Black, 82, of Middleton, died Saturday, September, 10, 1994, at the Caldwell hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September, 13, 1994, at Middleton, Idaho.  Burial will follow at the Middleton Cemetery.
     Mr. Black was born September 10, 1912, in the little community of Dixie, west of Caldwell to Albert Bartlett and Laura Robbins Black.  He was the youngest of two children.  He moved to Wilder where he attended school, then moved to Indian Valley where he farmed.  Raymond met Wilma Francis Macomb and they were married December 19, 1935, in Payette.  Their marriage was later solemnized on November 29, 1956, in the Idaho Falls Temple.  They lived and farmed in the Middleton area for 26 years until ill health forced his retirement.
     He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Middleton Ward.
     He is survived by his wife, Wilma, of Middleton; a son, Steven Drew and his wife Verta Black, of Middleton; one daughter, Bonna M. and her husband, Dallas Hale of Emmett; one brother, Alvin Black of Caldwell, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Phyllis Teichert and Doris Larson, and a grandson, Andy Nau.
