Services for Ruby K.
Dawson,68, 107 11th Ave. So. Ext., Nampa, who died Friday,
April 15, in a Boise hospital, will be conducted 2 p.m.
Tuesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joseph Housh,
pastor of the Nampa First United Methodist Church and Rev.
Don Hanna, associate pastor of the church, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
She was born May 13, 1914 at Campbell, Neb. She was
reared and educated in western Nebraska. She graduated from
business college in Denver, Colo. She moved to Nampa in 1945
and worked at various jobs in the Boise area. In 1956 she was
married to Ernest Dawson in Winnemucca, Nev. Following their
marriage they made their home in Boise. She worked for the
State of Idaho Department of Insurance in Boise for 20
years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of the United
Methodist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Doretta Epperly; one
niece, Mrs. Loren (Sharon) Jerome and one great-niece, JoAnn
Jerome, all of Nampa.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965, her
parents and one brother.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today from 4
to 9 p.m., Monday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8
a.m. to noon.
The family suggest memorials to the Mountain States Tumor
Institute, 1518. Bannock St., Boise, 83702, or flowers may be
