NAMPA – Services for Ray Loren Calvin, 70, of 704 third
St. S., Nampa, who died Jan. 4 in Boise, will be conducted at
2 p.m. tomorrow at the Alsip Chapel. Bishop Milton B. Minor
of the Nampa LDS Sixth Ward will officiate. Interment will be
at Hillcrest.
Mr. Calvin was born Feb. 4, 1894, in Cheyenne, Okla., to
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Calvin. He served in the U.S. Navy from
1916 to 1920 and came to Nampa in 1938. He had been employed
by the Union Pacific Railroad as a section crewman for 30
years.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jennie L. Calvin, Nampa; two
sons, Ray Jr., Rock Springs, Wyo., and Joseph Charles Calvin,
Nampa; two daughters, Mrs. Daisy Jeanette Castillo, Nyssa,
Ore., and Mrs. Lorraine Galarza, Princeton, Fla.; three
stepsons, Fred Armenta, Berlin, Germany, and Francisco and
George Armenta, both of Mexicali, Mexico; a brother, William
Calvin, St. Louis, Mo., five grandchildren and four
step-grandchildren. |
