Ruth Broadus

     Graveside services for Ruth R. Broadus, 71, 1515 Cherry Lane, Caldwell, who died Wednesday, Jan 26, at a Nampa nursing home of natural causes, will be conducted 1t 2 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, by the Rev. Kenneth Oliver of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     She was born in Louise, Texas, on Aug. 5, 1911
.  She moved with her family to Kansas City, Mo., where she was educated.  She married Paul Broadus in June of 1937 at Kansas City.  They made their home in Kansas City until 1945, when they moved to San Bernardino, Calif., where Mr. Broadus was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad.
     She was employed by a newspaper and a real estate company.  They retired in 1975 and moved to Caldwell.  She had been an invalid for the past five years.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, on Aug. 22, 1981, and one sister, Mrs. Lynn Kesner.
     She is survived by four sisters, Gertrude Woodrum, of Modesto, Calif., Lola Brazzel of Phoenix
, Ariz., Ruby Whitburn of Monrovia, Calif., and Lucille Hoeptner, Phoenix; and one brother, Everrett Haldiman of Oracle Junction, Ariz.
     Memorials may be made to the Caldwell Free Methodist Church.
