Roy V. Dunagan, 89, of Nampa,
died Saturday, Jan. 15, 1994 at his home. Funeral
services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19,
1994, at the Nampa Friends Church, 723 13th Ave. S.
Pastor Clynton Crisman of the Hayden Lake, Idaho Friends
Church will officiate. Burial will follow at the
Greenleaf Cemetery. Services are under the direction of
the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Roy V. Dunagan was born on May 26, 1904, at Dundy Co.,
Nebraska. He was reared and educated in Nebraska.
He married Josephine Elwood on Jan. 11, 1923, in Sutton, NE.
Roy attended Union Seminary in Westfield, Indiana. In
1926 he and his wife began pastoring for the Friends Church in
Alexandria, Indiana. In 1936 they moved to northern
Idaho and in 1940 to the Riverside Community near Nampa where
they continued pastoring. In 1953 they moved to
Fairfield, Idaho. In 1980 they returned to Nampa, moving
to Pine Grove, CA, in 1985. Mrs. Dunagan preceded him in
death on July 16, 1985. Following the death of his wife
he returned to Nampa, making his home at the Sunnyridge Manor.
Roy was a member of the Nampa Friends Church.
Roy is survived by 4 sons, Gerald Dunagan, Crooked
River Ranch, OR, Waldo and his wife, Joan Dunagan, Wenatchee,
WA, Arnold Dunagan, Crooked River Ranch, OR, and Ronald and
his wife, Rose Dunagan, Boise; a sister, Verl Broyles,
Newberg, OR; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great
grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by his
daughter, Angela Fields in 1991, and an infant son.
The family suggests memorials to the Greenleaf Friends
Academy, 20535 N. Academy Road, Greenleaf, ID 83626.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today
until 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon. |
