Stanley Bodle

     Memorial services for Stanley E. "Gene" Bodle, 57, of Nampa, who died Friday, Jan. 24, at his home of natural causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Broadmore Country Club, 427 Northside Blvd., Nampa.  Private family interment will follow.
     Mr. Bodle was born on May 3, 1928, at Bowmont to Glenn and Margaret Messmore Bodle.  He was reared and educated in Nampa, graduating from Nampa High School in 1946.  After his schooling he entered the U.S. Navy and served two terms of duty in Korea and the Mediterranean Sea.
     He married Lellah Ann Swindle on March 3, 1950.
     After his discharge they returned to Nampa, where he became a businessman;  He had been the owner-operator of Terry's Home Furnishings, a salesman at Honstead Motor Co. in Nampa.  At the time of his death he was the sales manager at J. & J. Kirby Co. in Boise.
     He was a member of the Nampa First United Presbyterian Church.  He was an aivd (sic) golfer and was a charter member of the Nampa Broadmore Country Club.
     He had also been a member of the Nampa B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1389, the Nampa Lodge No. 29 AF&AM and had been a member of the Nampa Rotary Club.
     He served on the board of directors for the Gemhaven Alcoholic Services in Boise for 10 years.
     He is survived by his wife of Nampa; three daughters, Anne Bodle-Stanford of Boise, Jane Bodle-Hill of Coeur'd Alene, and Carrie Lou Bodle, Boise; one son, James William Bodle, Boise; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Bodle of Nampa; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Sally Jane Stanford of Boise; one grandson, Joe Hill, Coeur d'Alene.
     He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Geraldine Summers.
