Sterling H. Pierson

Services will be announced by the Alsip Chapel for Sterling H. Pierson, 70, 108 Nectarine St., Nampa, who died in the Veteran's Hospital in Boise, Sunday.
Mr. Pierson was born Feb. 25, 1889, at Hawarden, Iowa, and grew up there.  He graduated from Iowa schools and served with the U.S. Navy during World War I.  He married Blanche Hixon on March 14, 1925 at Aberdeen, S. D., and the couple resided in Huron S. D. for a number of years, where he was associated with the Standard Oil Co.  They moved to Nampa in 1943 and from 1945 until May 1959 he was employed by the Showalter Chevrolet Co.  Ill health forced his retirement at that time.
He was a member of the Nampa Ashley Lodge, No. 90, AF and AM and of the Nampa Joseph Murray Post, 18, of the American Legion.
Among his survivors is his wife, Mrs. Blanche Pierson, Nampa.
