Spencer L. Bryant, 74 of Nampa, died Friday, January 31, 1992
at a Nampa hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at
2:00 P.M. Monday, February 3, 1992 at the Alsip Funeral
Chapel. Rev. Duane C. Palser, pastor of the Nampa First
Assembly of God Church will officiate. Interment will follow
at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Spencer L. Bryant was born on September 10, 1917 at
Golden, Missouri to Harvey and Cora Belle Bryant. He was
reared and educated in Missouri. In 1937 he came to Nampa.
He married Faye Louise Jensen on March 22, 1939 in Nampa where
they made their home. He went to work for the J.R. Simplot
Co. in 1941. While at Simplots he worked in maintenance as a
supervisor for over 20 years. He also worked in engineering,
engineering and development and later in special projects. He
traveled extensively in his job. He retired in 1980 as an
engineer. While their children were growing up, Spencer and
Faye always opened up their home to their children’s friends.
Spencer was a member of the Nampa First Assembly of God
Church. He was also a member of the Nampa B.P.O.E. #1389. He
loved to play golf and had been a member of the Broadmore
Country Club.
Faye died on May 10, 1988 and he has resided in Nampa
since.
Spencer is survived by 5 daughters, Zona Robertson,
Nampa, Colene (Mrs. John) Hayes, Great Falls,
Montana, Valene (Mrs.
Duane) Widmyer, Payette, JoAnne (Mrs. John) Blessinger,
Pendleton, Oregon, Sharron (Mrs. Ed) Dwyer, Los Angeles,
California; 1 son, S. Larry Bryant and his wife Jackie, Nampa;
3 brothers, Don Bryant, Jesse Bryant and Clyde Bryant, all of
Nampa; 2 sisters, Mrs. Montella Lopp, Caldwell, Mrs. Juanita
Walderen, Salinas, California; 18 grandchildren, 12 great
grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Beside his
wife he was preceded in death by 1 sister, Imogene Niel. |
