Services for Theodore A. Darrow,
78, of 5220 S. Ten Mile Road, Meridian, who died March 29,
1982, at home, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Alsip
Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Roger Willard of Nampa Wesleyan
Holiness Church and Harry Dozier of the Wesleyan Holiness
Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
He was born March 2, 1904, in Milo, Mo., where he was reared and
educated. He moved with his family to Colorado Springs, Colo.,
in 1923. He married Ellen Rooks on April 12, 1927, in Colorado
Springs, where he was a mailman. In 1942, they moved to Nampa,
where he was a mailman until retirement. In 1957, they moved
to Meridian, where he raised and showed Jersey cattle. He was
a member of Nampa Wesleyan Holiness Church and Idaho State
Jersey Cattle Club.
Survivors include his wife of Meridian; two sons, Richard of
Pendleton, Ore., and Dale of Boise; six daughters, Mrs. Roy
(Betty) Gibbons of Boise, Mrs. Curt (Rose) Alexander of Nampa,
Mrs. Eric (Bonnie) Middleton of Yerington, Nev., Mrs. Eldon
(Esther) Harrold of Caldwell, Mrs. Burl (Lola) Tolman of Boise
and Mrs. Butch (Theda) Titus of Cascade; four brothers; five
sisters; 28 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by a son, a brother and two sisters.
