Verna A. Beach Bradley, 75,
of Caldwell, died Friday, Feb. 11, 1994, at the Caldwell
hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb.
15, 1994, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Rev.
Harry L. Johnson of Nampa First Southern Baptist Church will
officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens, Caldwell.
Verna was born Oct. 9, 1918, at Shelley, Idaho, a
daughter, of Robert Laird and Francis Collin Dawson Baxter.
She was reared and educated in Idaho Falls and Pocatello.
Verna married Ralph Veach on July 29, 1939, in Idaho Falls.
To this union five children were born, four girls and one boy.
They were divorced in 1961. Verna married Wesley L.
Bradley in 1965, in Eagle Point, Ore. Wesley died on
March 13, 1968.
Verna was very active in the Eagles, joining area No.
119 in Pocatello, belonging to the drill team. She
transferred to Van Nuys, Calif., area No. 2310 where she
served mostly as an officer and did some drill team work.
She later transferred to Nampa No. 2103, where she was active
as an officer and on the drill team until her health caused
her to stop. Verna was a past president of Van Nuys and
Nampa.
Survivors include two special son-in-laws, Roger
Davenport of Caldwell and Lamar Jensen of Canyon Lake, CA;
three daughters, Helen "Bonnie" Jensen of Canyon Lake, CA,
Rachelle Jean Sturgis of Reno, NV, Vrea Davenport of Caldwell;
one son, Robert D. Veach and his wife, Randi, of Nampa; one
special sister-in-law, Luvia Veach; one niece, Leota Jorgensen
and her son, Karl; 19 grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; and many very special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents,
one daughter, two sisters, three nephews, one niece, and one
special brother-in-law, George Veach.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart
Association, 270 S. Orchard, Suite B, Boise, 83705.
Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on
Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time at Flahiff Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell. |
