Vesta A. Ford
Services for Mrs.
Vesta Angeline Ford, 75, Parma, who died Sunday in a Nampa
hospital, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Parma
Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel. Elder Fred Johnson will
officiate. Interment will be in Parma with the Mr. Olive
Chapter, OES, in charge of committal services.
Mrs. Ford was born Oct. 21, 1884 in Douglas County, Mo.
She was reared in Minnesota and moved to Okmulgee, Okla.,
March 6, 1907, when she was married to John B. Ford who died
in 1955. The couple homesteaded for two years in the
Indian territory then moved to Missouri and in 1933 moved to
Parma. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church
and the Order of Easter Star, Mt. Olive Chapter, of Parma.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Violet Metcalf
of Elkland, Mo., Mrs. Beulah Borrks of Watsonville, Calif.,
Mrs. Helen Crawforth of Parma and Mrs. Lucile Ross of Aptos,
Calif.; four sons, Herman of Parma, Edward of Wilder, Donald
of Aptos, and Lloyd Ford of Parma; one sister, Mrs. Maude B
Downin of Parma; and 25 grandchildren and 16 great
