Vivian "Lyla" Cornwell, 70, of Boise, died Saturday, June 1,
1991, at a Boise nursing home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
June 5, at the Wilder Cemetery. Ralph Burril of Boise will
officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Dakan
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mrs. Cornwell was born April 2, 1921, at Notus, a
daughter of Charles and Lulu Burril. She was raised and
attended school in Wilder. She married Merlin Cornwell
on Nov. 29, 1940.
Mrs. Cornwell was an avid bowler, and bowled in many
leagues in Caldwell including the Women's High Five League.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and enjoyed
camping and fishing with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two children, Verla Frans of Boise,
and Larry Cornwell of Richmond, Va.; three brothers, Ralph
Burril of Boise, Fay Burril of Praire City, Ore., and Glen
Burril of Unity, Ore.; eight grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three
brothers and a great-grandson.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the
Arthritis Foundation, 4696 Overland Road, No. 538, Boise
83705.
