NAMPA – Funeral services for Vernee Leon Bunnell, 65, and his
wife, Edna Montez Bunnell, 63, 1320 W. Flamingo, who died
Saturday of injuries received in an automobile-train collision
near Nampa, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Alsip
Funeral Chapel.
Bishop Arlen H. Benjamin of the Nampa Fourth Ward, Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will officiate.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bunnell was born Sept. 25, 1909 at Provo, Utah, and
was reared there. He married Edna Montez Stears at Idaho
Falls and the marriage was sealed in the LDS
Temple at Salt Lake
City Oct. 25, 1931. They resided at Idaho Falls, Burley, and
at Las Vegas, and have lived in Nampa for the pastfive years.
He was an elder in the LDS
Church and served a
mission to Australia. They were both avid golfers.
He is survived by one son, Terrie Leon Bunnell, Mesa,
Ariz.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dolores Edna) Reynolds,
Idaho Falls; two half-brothers, Max Williams and Earl
Williams, both of Provo, Utah; two half-sisters; 12
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bunnell was born Jan. 11, 1912 at Goshen, Idaho, and
was reared there and at Idaho Falls. In addition to their
children and grandchildren, she is also survived by three
brothers, Elven Stears, Shelley, Idaho, Len Stears, Nampa, and
Rue Stears, Idaho Falls. |
