Virginia M. Baker, 78, of
Nampa, passed away Saturday, January 4, 1997, at her home.
Graveside services wlll be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, January
10, 1997, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,
Caldwell.
Arrangements are under the direction of Alsip Funeral Chapel,
Nampa.
Virginia was born May 6, 1918, in Nampa, ID, to Clarence
and Blanche Baker. She attended schools in Nampa and then
became a switchboard operator for Union Pacific Railroad,
where she retired from in 1970.
She loved her nieces and nephews and supported them in
all of their activities. She lived her entire life in Nampa
where she had many friends.
Survivors include a nephew, Dennis M. Baker of Boise; 2
nieces, Barbara Gose of Riverton, WY, and Susan Walker of
Woodland, TX. She is also survived by 11 grandnieces and
nephews and 10 greatgrandnieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Cecil
Morrell, Donald Rankin and Kenneth; her mother, Blanche, and
her father, Clarence Baker.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to
