CALDWELL -
Services for William Harold Dowers, 64, of Boise, formerly of
Caldwell, who did Monday in a Boise hospital, will be
conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dakan Funeral Chapel by
Martin Ogren pastor of the Church of God,Seventh-day.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dowers was born on June 21, 1909, in Scotia, Neb., and
married Mary M. Vanosdall on March 23, 1932, in North Platte,
Neb. The couple lived in Nebraska and Kansas before
moving to Caldwell in 1939. He was a mechanic for Home
Dairies in Nampa and Caldwell until 1951, then worked for
George Nishitani Produce Co. until 1958.
He moved to Boise in 1958 and worked at the Biltmore Trailer
Factory and later at Cole Oldsmobile and Peterson Motor Co.
until he retired in 1970 due to illness.
He was a member of the Caldwell Church of God, Seventh-day.
Survivors in addition to Mrs. Dowers are a daughter, Mary
Eleanor Foreman, Cashmere, Wash.; his mother, Nora B. Dowers,
Caldwell; five sisters, Leonia Fisher, Boise, Gladys Castro,
Caldwell, Ina Everett, Wilder, Chloie DeLeon, Parma, and
Elvina Palmer, Kuna; three brothers, Boyd Dowers, Wilder, and
Jacob and Loyd Dowers, both of Nampa; three grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death last March 4 by his father, Alonzo
Dowers. |
