Services for Walter
Baker, 65, of Middleton, who died Wednesday night in a
Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis
chapel at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. James Wood of
Middleton will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest
Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Baker was born June 1, 1894, in Minden, Neb., and
was reared in Nebraska. He married Veva Jackson Jan. 14,
1920, in Nebraska City, Neb., and they came to Idaho in
December, 1941. They since had lived in Caldwell and
Middleton. He was transportation and supply manager for
the Crookham Seed Co. for 17 years.
He was a member of the Middleton Methodist church, a
past commander of the American Legion in Hamburg, Ia., and a
member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Caldwell.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Baker are a son, Robert
Baker of Donnelly; a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Taylor of Seattle;
a brother, James Baker of Cody, Wyo.; two sisters, Mrs. Ray
Chilcoat of Stanton, Neb., and Mrs. Herman Wendell of Lincoln,
Neb., and six grandchildren. |
