William Anderson

     Funeral services for William "Bill" R. Anderson, 80, of Caldwell, who died Wednesday, February 2, 1994, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, Leroy Miller of Caldwell will officiate.  Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
     Mr. Anderson was born July 29, 1913, at Porterville, Utah, a son of William and Ruth Mikesell Anderson.  He was reared and educated in the Porterville area and married Blanche Jensen on March 15, 1935, at Ogden, Utah.  Following their marriage the couple farmed in Porterville.  Bill worked for the Bristol Packing Company in Clarkston, Washington, and the Idaho Meat Packing Company, Caldwell, prior to his retirement.  He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Atlanta Braves, and was active in the Babe Ruth Baseball program at Clarkston, Washington.  Following his retirement Bill enjoyed fishing, woodworking and painting.
     He was a member of the LDS Church, meat cutters union and the Moose Lodge.
     Survivors include his wife, Blanche of Caldwell; three sons, Lowell and Kieth, both of Seattle, and Bill of Grandview, Washington; a daughter, Beth Buratto of Boise; two sisters, Ruth of Lewiston and Ruby of Ogden, Utah; nine grandchildren, Shelly, Sheryl, Richard, Bryan, Steve, Jill Erich, Michelle and Dina; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents.
     The family suggests memorials be given to the American Heart Association, 270 S. Orchard, Suite B, Boise, ID 83705.
