Winnifred Evans

     Graveside services for Winnifred Evans, 85, of Caldwell, who died June 18 in a Caldwell nursing home of natural causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. The Rev. John Sinclair of the First Christian Church of Caldwell will officiate under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     Mrs. Evans was born April 6, 1899 in Washington County, Iowa to Thomas and Mattie Schwartz Clendening, where she was reared and educated. She married Ralph Evans Oct. 25, 1920 in Minnesota. They came to Parma in 1922 and later moved to Caldwell in 1936 where she had since resided. Mr. Evans passed away
April 13, 1979.
     She was a member of the First Christian Church of Caldwell, the Eagles Lodge of Caldwell and the American Association of Retired Persons, Caldwell.
     She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Josephine Beal, Sequim, Wash, and Mrs. Anita Owens, Augusta
, Ga.; and 3 grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
     Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Caldwell.
