Zella Faye Blair, 77,
of Nampa, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31,
1997, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Burial will
follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Zella Faye Blair was born on May 17, 1919, in Oklahoma,
to Barney Lee and Emily Jones Hackney. She was raised
and educated in Oklahoma. She married Robert "Bob" Blair
on April 23, 1934, in Purcell, Oklahoma. They moved to
Ontario, California, where they lived until 1979 when they
moved to Nampa. Zella had worked as a homemaker and a
devoted mother her entire married life.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Blair of
Nampa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Roberta and Robert Byrne
of Caldwell and Argie and Gene Carney of San Bernadino, CA; a
son and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Kathy Blair of Weiser;
three brothers, Roy Hackney, Troy Hackney and Pete Hackney,
all of Oklahoma; tree sisters, Irene Travis, Wilma Harmon and
Joyce Moore, all of Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers,
a sister and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at the Alsip Chapel on Friday from 8
a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. |
