Mrs. Anna Stella
Korn, 84, of 112 Owyhee, Nampa, died Sunday at a Nampa nursing
home after a long illness.
She was born April 15, 1875 in Czechoslovakia and came
to this country at the age of 20.
She was married to Joseph Korn in 1898 in Nebraska
where they lived for a short time before moving to Missouri.
They lived in Missouri for 18 years and came to Idaho in 1919
where they settled at a farm north of Nampa.
Mr. Korn died in 1930 and Mrs. Korn moved into Nampa in
1941 where she had since resided.
She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nampa
and a member of the St. Paul's Altar Society. Requiem
High Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul's Wednesday at 10
a.m., with the Rev. Father Robert F. Turgeon as celebrant.
Mrs. Korn is survived by three sons, Ben of Nampa and
Joseph G. and Frank Korn, both of Salem Ore.; three
daughters, Mrs. Josephine Cada of Boise, Mrs. Christine
Smith of Meridian and Mrs. Emma Krav of Port Orchard Wash.;
eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Alsip
Chapel in Nampa. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary
Cemetery. |
