DESPONDENT YOUNG MAN ENDS
LIFE WITH POISON
Troubled With Unfortunate Malady, Alfred
Winter of Nampa Takes Strychnine.
- Alfred Winter, son of Conrad Winter, died at the parental
home near this city, Sunday, his death being due to
self-administration of strychnine, according to the
physician's certificate. The young man, who was 24 years
old, had been in poor health for a long time frequently
suffering from epilepsy. It is supposed that brooding
over his ailments caused him to take the fatal dose.
Funeral services will be held from the Catholic church Tuesday
morning at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in the Catholic
cemetery, beside the grave of his mother, who passed away
about a year ago. The family has long lived at Nampa,
Alfred having been born here.
