Clara Duree

    Funeral services for Clara Gladys Duree, 84, of 418 Dearborn St., Caldwell, who died Sunday, Oct. 2, at a Nampa nursing home will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by Dr. Larry Crist of the Treasure Valley Christian Church, Caldwell.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden.
    She was born Sept. 17, 1899, at Ayrshire, Iowa, to George and Elizabeth Wood.  She moved with  her family as a child to Kuna, Where she was reared and educated.  She married Joe G. Duree Aug. 27, 1926, in Boise.  They made their home in Weiser for a short time before moving to Caldwell.  She worked for a short time for J.R. Simplot at the processing plant in Caldwell.  Mr. Duree died in October of 1945, and she has resided in Caldwell since that time.
    She was a charter member of the Treasure Valley Christian Church, Caldwell.  She also served as president of the Gleaners Sunday School class and the Rebekah Lodge of Kuna.
    She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Wayne (Bernice) Maybon, Caldwell, Mrs. Bertie Jo Clark of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Donna Allen, Nampa; one sister, Mrs. Ida Mae Breshears of Weiser; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several neices (sic) and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and three sisters.
    Friends may call at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, today until 8 p.m.
    Memorials may be given to the Caldwell Meals on Wheels program, 1009 Everett St., Caldwell.
