Edna F. Carpenter

     Obituary - Edna Faye Carpenter, 91, of Caldwell, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at a Caldwell assisted living center of natural causes. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder, with Rev. Ralph Cornwell officiating. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Edna was born Feb. 22, 1912, at Providence City, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. Murray Bossart. She graduated from high school in Laverne, Okla. Edna married Harry Carpenter on Aug. 24, 1931, and together they moved to Colorado for a short time before returning to Oklahoma. In 1933, Edna and Harry moved to Wilder where they farmed in the Fargo Community. They came to Caldwell in 1946 where they resided until moving to eastern Idaho where they lived for 20 years. Together they returned to Caldwell in 1987 where they have since resided.
    Edna was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Worthy Matron. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and ceramics. Edna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
    Edna is survived by her husband, Harry of Caldwell; her two daughters, Beverly Ledbetter of Blackfoot and Pat and her husband, Martin Galvin of Middleton; her two sons, Mel and his wife, Dottie Carpenter of Reno, NV and Bill Carpenter of Bozeman, MT; her sister, Virginia Dohner of Blaine, WA; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
