Services are under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mrs. Bixby was born Nov. 30, 1878, at Salina, Kan., to Seth and Maria Wolfe Crockett.  She moved with her family to the Middleton area in 1891.
She married Asa Bixby in 1894 and they farmed near the Canyon School on Highway 44.  In 1902, they moved into Middleton and started a mercantile store and lumber yard, which they operated for four years.  They bought a farm on Willow Creek near Middleton.  They raised turkeys and farmed until 1919, when they moved to the Dry Creek area near Eagle.  They farmed there until his death in 1959.
She moved to Boise for a short time before returning to Middleton.  She moved in 1976 to Caldwell, where she had since resided.
Her hobbies included singing and playing the piano.
She was a charter member of the Middleton United Methodist Church, and was the first organist at the church.
She is survived by a daughter, Edna Rule of Boise; a brother, Walter Crockett of Caldwell; a grandson; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, six brothers, and three sisters.
