Private services for Helen Burns, 75, of Nampa, who died on
Thursday, Feb. 13, at her home, were conducted at the St.
Paul’s Catholic Church. Private family interment was in the
Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Burns was born Dec. 2, 1910, in Newark, N.J., where
she was also reared and educated. She worked as a personal
service representative for the telephone company for 10
years. She married Peter J. “Pete” Burns on May, 10, 1943, in
Belleville, N.Y. In 1945 they moved to
Nampa where they made their home. He died March 18, 1983.
She was a member of the St. Paul’s Catholic
Church.
She is survived by two sons, Michael
of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Terry of Nampa; two daughters,
Patricia Edwards of Caldwell and Delores Conwell of Urbandale, Iowa; one sister, Betty
Soleau of Nampa; one brother, John Schwab of Wayne, N.J.;
five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
