Mary E. Weick

     IDAHO FALLS - Mary Elizabeth Weick, 82, a Caldwell resident for 53 years, died at the Rexburg home of her son Friday night.
     Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell under the direction of Boone Memorial Presbyterian Church.  Interment will be under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home of Idaho Falls.
     Mrs. Weick was born Aug. 15, 1888, at Fall City, Neb., the daughter of Frederick and Maria Becker Reschke.  She lived at Fall City for 29 years, attending public schools there.  She graduated from the Deaconess hospital Nursing School at St. Louis, Mo.
     She married Otto Albert Weick April 21, 1915 at Verdon, Neb., and they moved to Caldwell in 191.  They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1965.  He died Dec. 14, 1969.
     Mrs. Weick was a registered nurse and housewife through her adult life.  She was active in Boone Memorial Presbyterian Church and its women's organizations.  She held many offices in the Notus Grange and the Canyon County Pomona Grange, including that of  treasurer, for many years.  She also was known for her gardening.
     She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bertha H. Newman of Nampa and Mrs. Emma L. Morris of Seattle, a son, Henry O. Weick of Rexburg, 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Margareta Mez of Fall City, Neb.  Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter.
