Robert Gremling, Sr.

    Robert "Bob" R. Gremling, Sr., 70, of Nampa, died Tuesday, April 11, 1995, at his home.  Vigil services will be at 7 p.m., Sunday, April 16, at Persons-Flafiiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, 1995 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, with burial following at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Robert was born November 2, 1924 in Mansfield, Ohio, a son of Frank W. and Gertrude Hipp Gremling.  Bob was raised and educated in Mansfield, then started working at Mansfield Tire.  He married Eleanor M. Miller on February 6, 1943 in Mansfield.  Bob was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1943, after WW II he returned home and started working in cement construction.  In 1957 the family moved to California, settling in Garden Grove where Bob continued in construction.  In 1975 they moved to Nampa where they have since resided.  While in Nampa Bob was very active at St. Paul's doing many projects around the church.  
    Bob was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the American Legion.  His life revolved around helping people, and some of his favorite times were spent fishing with his family and friends.
    Bob is survived by his wife, Eleanor of Nampa; his children, Bob and Mary Lou Gremling of New York, Pat Zappa of Nampa, Dave Gremling of California, Sandy and Bill Rush of Nampa, Dee Gremling of Oregon, Mary and Pat Bryant of Nampa, Debbie and John Provenzano of California, Nancy and John Harvey of Nampa, Phil and Sharon Gremling of Boise, Pam and Mark Mason of Nampa; his brothers and sisters, Luella Lee of Greenwick, Ohio, Ken Gremling, Deloras Gerger, Paul Gremling all of Mansfield, Ohio, Gerry Turner of Bourne, MA, Alberta Shaffer, Norma Schunatz both of Mansfield, Chuck Gremling of Sandusky, Ohio, LaVina Wendland, Clara Robinson both of Mansfield, Ohio: 32 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Tom Gremling, a son-in-law, Gene Zappa, and a grandson, Jeff Gremling.
    Memorials may be made to Hospice, c/o Mercy Medical Center, Nampa, or flowers may be sent.
    Friends may call today from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m. at Persons- Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
