Funeral services for
Aaron Mills, ? ? ? who passed away Thursday noon at his home,
were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Wilder.
Interment was in the Wilder cemetery.
Mr. Mills was one of the most prominent poultry
financiers of the state. He was born in Georgetown, Ill.,
September 2, 1853, and moved to Oregon when a young man. He
married Miss Jessie Cook of Newberg, Ore., and came to Idaho
in 1918. The couple located on a 40-acre tract two miles
northwest of Wilder. They have made their home there ever
since.
Mr. Mills and his wife developed a thriving poultry farm
from a sagebrush waste. A fire in 1923 destroyed their home,
but they rebuilt and had one of the most up-to-date poultry
farms in the state. Surviving are his widow and son, Harold,
who was a partner in the poultry business. |
