Services for Algie L. Bartlett, 81, of Caldwell Route 1, who
died Saturday, Jan. 22, at a Caldwell hospital of natural
causes, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the
Greenleaf Friends Church, Greenleaf, by the Rev. Paul Goins of
the Greenleaf Friends Church, and Pastor Jerry Reed of the
Deer Flat Methodist Church, Caldwell, under the direction of
Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Interment will follow at the
Greenleaf Cemetery, Greenleaf.
She was born March 29, 1901, at Moorhead,
Iowa, where she was
reared. She attended Boyles
Business College at
Council Bluff, Iowa. She moved with her family to Idaho in
1916. She married Thomas McKague Bartlett on Sept. 2, 1919,
at her grandmother Havey's home at Greenleaf. They farmed the
family homestead until 1939 when they moved to Wilder and
continued farming until Mr. Bartlett's death in 1953. She
moved back to Greenleaf where she had since resided. She was
a member of the Wilder United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce C. and William E. of
Caldwell; three daughters, Marjorie B. Rogers of Boise, Ruth
J. Anders of Golden, Colo., and Ann B. Cutwright of Eagle; one
brother, Claude A. Dilley of Council Bluff, Iowa; two sisters,
Jessie M. Farley of Caldwell and Esther G. Stemper of Boise;
19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the chapel in Caldwell from 5 to 9
p.m. today.
