Pioneer Dies Here Sunday

Davis Ervin Dixon, 87
years old, died Saturday afternoon at the family home on
College Heights. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and
came to Idaho in 1905 with this family and located in Arena
Valley, where they lived for nine years. They have lived
in Caldwell since that time.
The body is now at the Peckham Funeral home.
Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from
the Peckham chapel, with Elder J. W. Turner of Boise in
charge. Burial will be in the Roswell cemetery.
Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Dixon,
three daughters, Mrs. Ida Cress, Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Ethel
M. Hendricks, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Lida R. Jurries,
Parma and three sons, Harry B. Dixon, Jacksonville, Fla.,
James M. Dixon, Grants Pass, Ore., and Noble C. Dixon,
Seattle, Wash., five grandchildren and one twin brother,
William L. Dixon of Superior, Wis. |
