Eda Ellen Rood
Services Will Be
Held at Parma


     Funeral services for Eda Ellen Rood, who died Saturday afternoon in her Parma home, will be held at 2:30 p. m. Friday in the Parma Nazarene church.
     Burial will be in the Parma cemetery, with Peckham-Dakan chapel in charge.
     Mrs. Rood was born April 11, 1884 in Omaha, Neb.  She lived there until eight years of age, when her family moved to south of Callaway, Neb.  She was married to Alfred Howard Rood at Lexington, Neb., on March 13, 1905.  They came to Westlinn, Ore., and lived there until about 1940.  Then they moved to the Black Canyon district, and to their present home about a mile south of Parma two and a half years ago.
     She attended the Parma Nazarene church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Eva May Maine of route 2, Parma, Mary Diena Hill of Parma and Dorothy Viola Bones of Turner, Ore., two sons, Alvie Clarence Rood of Lexington, Neb., and Howard James Rood of Parma; two sisters, Millie Pallet of Callaway, Neb., and Annie Wirshing of Salem, Ore., and 24 grandchildren.
