Edna Cawdery

     Funeral services for Edna H. Cawdery, 86, of Caldwell, who died Thursday, Aug. 31, 1989, at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes, will be conducted at 1030 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1989, in the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     Pastor Richard Shaw of the First Baptist Church, Caldwell, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Wilder Cemetery, with graveside rites by the Charity Rebekah Lodge, Wilder.
     Mrs. Cawdery was born April 8, 1903, in Nehalem, Ore., to N.P. and Ida Alley.  She moved to Wilder in 1917 where she graduated from high school in 1920.  She taught school in Shawnee and Arvada, Wyo., for two years.  She married Mark Cawdery Aug. 18, 1924, in Boise and they lived in Glenns Ferry for two years, later moving to Wilder in 1926 where they farmed until 1980.  The moved to Caldwell in 1984.  Mr. Cawdery died Oct. 24, 1985.
     Her greatest interests were in her family and also oil painting.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Caldwell, and a member of more than 60 years in the Charity Rebekah Lodge of Wilder.
     She is survived by two daughters, Patrice Price of Middleton and Joyce Elfring of Vale, Ore.; one son, Carl Cawdery of Pocatello; one brother, Louis Alley of Grangeville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
     In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dale, a brother, Roy Alley, and a sister, Mildred Huff.
     The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, Caldwell, c/o Dakan Funeral Chapel, Box 1386, Caldwell, Idaho 83606-1386.
