Joel Boehlke

     Joel Edward Boehlke, 44, of Reno, Nev., died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1993, at Washoe Medical Center in Reno, following a courageous battle with cancer.
     A memorial service will be held in Reno under the direction of Walton Funeral Chapel and another private memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church of Nampa, with Rev. David Schmidt officiating at a later date.  Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens of Caldwell.
     Joel was born Dec. 5, 1948, at Nampa, Idaho, the son of Theresa and Edward Boehlke.  He was raised and educated in the Nampa/Caldwell area, graduating from Caldwell High in 1967.  Joel then attended Boise State College graduating with a degree in Business Administration, and was a charter member of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity.
     Joel worked in several locations before settling in Reno, working as a waiter for Gi Gi's French and Caruso's Italian restaurants at the MGM Grand, which was later taken over by Balley's and is now the Hilton.
     Survivors include his parents; 3 sisters, Jean Manship of Kennewick, Wa., Nancy Stanley and Carol Clark of Nampa, ID.; 1 niece; 3 nephews; 1 great niece; 2 great nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
     Joel was dearly loved by his family and friends, to whom he was totally devoted.
     Memorials may be given to a favorite charity.
