John E. Wyatt
John Earl Wyatt, 84,
of Parma, died Tuesday, Feb. 19,2002, at home of natural
causes. Funeral services will be held at 1 ;.m.
Saturday, Feb. 23, at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Burial will be at the Roswell Cemetery.
John was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Corvallis Ore., the son
of William Elbert and Mary Esther (Pace) Wyatt. He was
married Fe. 20, 1937, in Vancouver, Wash., to Laura Clara
Schmidt, and had four sons in that marriage. However,
Laura passed away April 17, 1964. John Earl also
enlisted in the Army in the Word War II and served in the Army
Engineers in France and Germany. After his return he was
employed by the Bureau of Reclamation, Black Canyon
Irrigation, and the Job Corps. In 1965, while working at
Black Canyon, he met and married Evelyn (McCurry) Shelley and
has been married to her for the 36 years since.
His retirement was filled with years of enjoyment with
his family, working and playing in his garden, and hunting and
fishing throughout the Northwest.
John is survived by his wife; three sons, Jay
Wyatt, John Roger Wyatt and Eric Wyatt; a daughter,
Kathy Prater; 13 grandchildren; and 17
He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Wyatt.
The family suggests that memorials be made to The
Salvation Army, P.O. Box 57, Caldwell, Id 83606 or to Pet
Haven P.O. Box 481, Nampa, ID 83653.
