Services for John Stanford Carver, 95, of Nampa, a retired
farmer, who died on Sunday, June 1, in a Nampa nursing home,
will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel,
Nampa.
Pastor John Copeland of the Nampa Wesleyan Holiness
Church will officiate. Burial will follow at the
Kohlerlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Carver was born Oct. 18, 1890, at Cassvile, Mo.
At a young age, he moved with his family to Oklahoma, where he
was reared and educated.
He married Loena Gregory July 20, 1916, at Vinita,
Okla. Following their marriage, they moved to the
Treasure Valley, where they farmed for many years.
Mrs. Carver died Dec. 11, 1984.
He is survived by a son, Eugene E. Carver of Blackfoot;
two daughters, Betty L. Andrus of Springfield, Ore., and
Arvella E. Ragsdale of Gold Beach, Ore.; eight grandchildren;
13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and two
nieces.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Arbelle Carver;
two brothers and three sisters. |
