Funeral Services To Be Held
Tuesday for James
Spencer Walker

James Spencer Walker
of Roswell, died Sunday morning at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30
o'clock at the Presbyterian church of Roswell with the Rev. E.
P. Lawrence, assisted by the Rev. David Oastler, officiating.
Burial will be at Roswell.
Mr. Walker was born May 3, 1848, in Louisville, Ohio. He made
his home in Ohio until 1872 when he moved to Iowa, residing at
Corning, Iowa for a period of 50 years. In 1924 he came
to Caldwell from California and has been a resident of this
state since that time. He was sexton for the cemetery at
Roswell until about a year and a half ago. He had been
married 59 years.
Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Orlena Walker, are two daughters,
Mrs. Myrtle Sloum(?) of North Dakota and Mrs. Arthur Amos of
Temple City, Cal.; a son, J. F. Walker of Parma;
five grandchildren, and two brothers living in Ohio. |
