Graveside services for Jim
Barnes, 82, of Caldwell, who died Monday, June 1, at a
Caldwell nursing home, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the
Middleton Cemetery.
The Rev. Jack Keith of the Middleton First Baptist Church
will officiate, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
Mr. Barnes was born Jan. 6, 1905, at Noble, Okla., to
Thomas and Annabelle Keller Barnes. He was reared and
educated in Oklahoma. He moved with his family to the Canyon
area near Middleton.
He worked at various jobs, later moving to Caldwell,
where he was employed as a custodian at Lincoln School until
his retirement in 1970.
He enjoyed photography. He was a member of the
Middleton Baptist Church.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Cleveland of Caldwell;
three nieces, including Annabelle Fountain of Caldwell and
Bertha Lynn of Middleton; and numerous great-nieces and
great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from
9 a.m.
to noon Friday at the Caldwell Flahiff Chapel.
Memorials may be made to a favorite church or charity. |
