Lee Shaffer, 80, Passes Away
Wednesday
Night, Funeral Will Be Saturday Morning |
Lee Robert Shaffer,
80, of 1118 Arthur Street, Caldwell, passed away late
Wednesday night at the Caldwell hospital following several
years of ill health. He was born May 4, 1876, at
Leadville, Colorado and moved with his parents to Carrolton,
Missouri in 1880. He came to Star in 1884.
Mr. Shaffer and his family lived at Middleton for many
years, and he served as ditch walker for the Canyon County
Ditch Company from 1924 until 1944, when he located in
Caldwell. |
Besides
his wife, Lulu of Caldwell, he is survived by one son, Boyd
Shaffer of Wilder; one daughter, Mrs. Zella Berner of
Nampa; one step-daughter, Mrs. Elma Johnson of Anderson,
California; two grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Flahiff
funeral chapel. The Rev. N. H. Lines of the Middleton
Methodist Church will officiate and interment will be at the
Middleton cemetery. |
