Wilder Woman Passes Sunday
Funeral Services for Mrs.
Mary Ellen Vick, 76, Will be
Mrs. Mary Ellen Vick, 76, died
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Rutter of Wilder, route
1, Sunday morning, January 15. Funeral services will be held
Tuesday afternoon 1t 2:30 o'clock at the Presbyterian church of
Caldwell with the Rev. D. H. Hare officiating. Interment will
be in the Canyon Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Vick was born September 12, 1856 in Livingston
county, Kentucky. She spent her childhood and young womanhood
in that county and was married there. In the year of 1912 Mr.
and Mrs. Vick moved to Canyon City, Colo., where they spent two
years. The family moved back to Corisville, Ky., and spent
four years there and then came to Idaho in 1919 and settled in
Caldwell. Mr. Vick passed away in 1920 and since his death
Mrs. Vick has made her home with her daughter.
The deceased is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Rutter;
two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Tyree of Colorado and Mrs. Emma Garver
of Illinois; a brother T. F. Peck of Kentucky; and four
grandchildren, George, Pauline, Maurice and Louise Rutter.
Mrs. Vick was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian
church of Corisville.
