Mrs. Minerva Jane Hudson of the
Wilder community passed away at a local hospital Sunday, at
the age of 83 years, 9 months and 17 days. The aged
woman was a resident of Roswell for many years, coming to that
vicinity on October 28, 1895 from Hastings, Neb. She is
survived by three sons, L. L. Hudson of Wilder, A. G. Hudson
also of Wilder and George E. Hudson of Boise, and eight
Funeral services will be held at the Wilder Methodist Episcopal
church Tuesday afternoon, April 30, with the Rev. H. H. Hayman
of Caldwell officiating.

Is Laid At Rest
WILDER (Special) - The M. E.
church in Wilder was filled with friends when on Tuesday
afternoon funeral services were held for Mrs. Minerva Jane
Hudson, 83, who passed away on Sunday morning at the Memorial
Park hospital in Caldwell following a short illness.
Dr. H. H. Hayman of Caldwell had charge of the service and a
quartet composed of Mesdames G. C. Twitchell, L. F. Kowalk,
Grace Saunders and Gene Smith sang.
Minerva Jane Gilmore was born on July 11, 1851. On October 5,
1877, she was untied in marriage with Orlando Hudson and to
them were born four sons, Albert E. (deceased) Louie L.,
Arthur G. of Wilder and George E. of Boise.
Mrs. Hudson's entire life was that of a pioneer. Following
her girlhood days she left Effingham, Ill., in a covered wagon
for Hasting, Neb. On October 28, 1898, the family came
to Roswell and in 1907 they moved to Wilder where they have
Mrs. Hudson was laid at rest in the Wilder cemetery beside her
husband, who passed away on July 31, 1928.
