Maude V. Evans, 81, of
2124 3 Mile Creek, Boise, and formerly of Notus, died Aug. 5,
1990 in a Boise hospital of natural causes.
No services will be held at her request. Cremation is
under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Chapel. Inurnment will
be at a later date in the Wilder Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans was born Jan. 21, 1909 at Clayton, GA, a
daughter of Marvin A. and Nannie Abbot Powell. She came to
Idaho at an early age, and grew up in the Lower Dixie area.
She attended schools in Notus. She married Walter E. Evans
March 10, 1926 at Caldwell. They farmed in Wilder and Dixie
before moving to Notus in 1958. Maude was employed by the
Notus School District as a head cook for several years. She
moved to Boise in 1975 where she had since resided.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and
Albert Schneider of Boise; and four grandsons, Dan Bates of
Glendale, Ariz., Randy Bates and Phil Bates, both of Boise,
and Mark Schneider of Meridian.
