Funeral services for Opal C. Carey, 71, of Caldwell, who
died Sunday, Feb. 26, 1989, in the Caldwell hospital of
natural causes, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 1,
in the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma. Pastor Jack Cooke of the
Bible Baptist Church, Caldwell, will officiate with burial
following in the Roswell Cemetery, Roswell.
Mrs. Carey was born Aug. 9, 1917, in Topaz, Mo., to Calvin
and Sarah Pierce Seiber. She was raised and educated in
Parma. She married Edward Carey July 20, 1935, in Weiser.
She is survived by five sons, Ramon of Middleton, Roger of
Jerome, John of Caldwell, Harry of Boise and Jack of
Middleton; four daughters, Ruth Farris and Paulette Carrell,
both of Caldwell, Alice Honeycutt of Wilder and Carol Grubaugh
of Middleton; two sisters, Betty Scott and Delia Rosario, both
of Parma; 32 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three
great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a
very special friend and her children, Irene Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,
a son, a daughter, two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Dakan
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. |
