Funeral Services Held for
Ronald Clyde Hunt, Victim
ROSWELL (Special) - Funeral services for Ronald Clyde Hunt,
3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hunt, who was accidentally
killed when a cash register in his father's store toppled on him,
were held Wednesday morning at the Sterry Memorial church with the
Rev. David Oastler in charge. The body was laid at rest in the
family plot in the Roswell cemetery.
The youngster was killed last Monday when he was at
play in his father's store at Roswell. Mr. Hunt had been
making some improvements in the store and while things were being
changed about, Ronald, enticed by the electric cord to the cash
register, reached for it and accidentally pulled the register onto
himself, bringing almost instant death.
Ronald was born February 27, 1929, and was the youngest
in the family of five children. The songs, selected by the
family for use at the funeral service, were sung by Miss Doris
Jenkins, accompanied by Mrs. Elton McCormick. Pall bearers,
Mrs. Glen Gaylord, Mrs. W. H. Robbinsin, Mrs. Harley Wagner and Mrs.
Harry Allender, were Royal Neighbors of America, of which
organization Mrs. Hunt is oracle this year.
