Robert Evans “Bob” Eastman,
68, of Caldwell, died Tuesday, July 3, 1990, of a heart
attack. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday,
July 9, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. The Rev.
Raymond A. Thompson of the United Methodist Church, Caldwell,
will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens, Caldwell.
Bob was born Feb. 17, 1922, at Gooding, Idaho, the eldest
son of Ernest and Florence Evans Eastman. He attended schools
in Tuttle, Idaho, and Hillsboro, Nyssa, and Adrian, Oregon,
graduating from Adrian High School in 1940.
During World War II Bob served in the 5th
Marine Division on the Hawaiian Islands, Iwo Jima, and Japan.
He married Ruby Brown Oct. 28, 1946, and they made their home
in Caldwell. Bob worked as a mechanic for Mason Motor Co.,
ran the All-American Service
Station for a number of years and worked for the Crookham
Company from 1973 until he retired in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Caldwell; a son,
Patrick, of Caldwell; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and
Brian Attebery of Pocatello, and their daughter, Stina; three
sisters, Julie Parks of Medford, Ore., Ruth Paulus of Spokane,
Wash., and Phyllis
Courtnay of Enterprise,
Ore.; and a brother,
Jim of Adrian, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby
sister, Alice Margaret.
Memorials may be made to the Idaho Youth Ranch or the
College of Idaho. |
