Samuel B. Price died this morning at his Wilder home. The
body is now at the Peckham chapel pending funeral arrangements
which will be announced later.
Mr. Price, who was born at Forrest, Ill., is survivied by
his widow, Mary I. Price; two daughters, Miss Mildred of
Wilder and Mrs. Edna Hasson of Payette.
A son, Chester Everett Price, died recently while doing
United States navy service in China. The young man’s body is
expected to arrive here for burial next week. |

WILDER (Special) – Funeral services for Samuel B. Price,
Wilder farmer who died at his home Saturday following an
illness of several months, were held this afternoon at the
Wilder Methodist church with Dr. H. H. Hayman of the ollege of
Idaho officiating. Burial was in the Wilder cemetery.
The body of his son, Chester Everett Price, who died May
11 in Kiukiang, China, while doing service in the United
States nave, will arrive at Bremerton, Wash., on the ship
President McKinley, July 7, according to telegraphic
information received Tuesday. It will be sent to Caldwell for
interment.
Mr. Price was stricken with a heart ailment following an
attack of influenza last winter. He was born October 5, 1870
at Forreston, Ill. In 1905 he was married to Miss Mary
Schlaegel at Marion, Kans., and to the couple were born two
daughters and one son.
The family came to Wilder in 1918 and since that time
resided here.
Mr. Price is survived by his widow; his daughters, Miss
Mildred of Wilder and Mrs. Leo Hassen of Payette; a brother,
Dr. Charles Price of Mr. Morris, Ill., and a sister; Mrs.
Mary Byers of Forreston, Ill. |
