Caldwell Woman
 Called By Death

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Spurgeon Ziegler died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lydia Pennington, Monday morning after a lengthy illness.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Pennington residence with Rev. Harry L. Rogers of the Nazarene church in charge.  Interment will be in the Canyon hill cemetery.
Mrs. Ziegler was born on December 23, 1854 at Washington, Davis county, Indiana.  She was the daughter of Elizabeth Weyman, a native of Germany, and James Spurgeon, who had emigrated to this country from England.  In 1869 she married Maurice Eugene Center at Washington.  Three children were born to the union, Mrs. Pennington, with whom she made her home, and two who died in infancy.  Mr. Center died in 1904.  Twelve years later the widow married P. M. Ziegler, now deceased.  She has liven in Caldwell for many years.
